1 Independent has had a jam-packed, full-o-fun term! In literacy, we’ve been reading ‘Don’t let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!’, and ‘The Gruffalo’. Our confidence has grown in writing and we’ve been enjoying making the worlds in stories come to life through role play. In maths, we’ve been learning about area by exploring surface area and counting how many things fit into squares and circles. We’ve also started learning about the fraction ½, and like to cut the toy cake into two big slices. 1 Independent also been learning lots of new skills in Gymnastics, cooking and life skills. We love pretending to be doctors in developmental play, and we have especially been enjoying going for walks as a group to practise accessing the community. 1 Independent loves working and playing together and looks forward to what the rest of the term has in store!
